After a doll maker and his wife lose their
little girl when she is hit by a car, they
long to see her again. As her spirit (or
what they believe is her spirit) begins to
appear to them, it requests permission to
live forever inside one of the doll
maker's creations. The couple agrees and
Annabelle is born. All goes well until
they welcome a nun and girls from a
recently closed orphanage into their home,
an invitation Annabelle didn't agree to.
