Chernobyl Lunar Rovers Clear Radioactive Debris off Roof
See footage of the two Soviet STR-1 lunar
rovers clearing radioactive debris off of
the lower level areas of the Chernobyl
Nuclear Power Plant roof following the
explosion of Reactor Number 4 on April 26,
1986. The lunar rovers worked for about 10
hours clearing debris before they
succumbed to the effects of the radiation.
