Close Encounters of the Third Kind Trailer
Richard Dreyfuss portrays line worker Roy
Neary, who has a close encounter with
U.F.O.s and then feels undeniably drawn to
an isolated area in the wilderness where
something extraordinary is about to take
place. The film was directed and written
by Steven Spielberg. Its origins can be
traced to Spielberg's 1964 independent
sci-fi film
Firelight, which he
completed when he was 18.
Close
Encounters of the Third Kind is
essentially the broader, big-budget
version of that film.
