Dunkirk Movie Trailer (1958)

In addition to Christopher Nolan's 2017 movie, this 1958 British film, also called Dunkirk, is the only other feature film to be made about the evacuation. It stars John Mills, Richard Attenborough and Bernard Lee. Mills plays Corporal "Tubby" Bins, who is stranded in France with his unit. They must make their way to the shores of Dunkirk in order to give themselves a chance at being rescued. Charles Foreman (Bernard Lee), a British newspaper reporter, eventually ends up taking out his own small private boat to personally assist in the rescue. The Dunkirk 1958 trailer also features Richard Attenborough's character, John Holden, who makes a healthy profit manufacturing buckles for the Phoney War.
