The TV movie Mr. and Mrs. Loving starring Timothy Hutton and Lela Rochon first aired in 1996. White bricklayer Richard Loving (Timothy Hutton) and his African-American girlfriend, Mildred "Bean" Jeter (Lela Rochon), are married in 1958 and return to Virginia to live as husband and wife.
