A well-known skin specialist (Elizabeth Banks) to the stars tries to grow her business but is hampered when a rival opens up a business across the street. She suspects she is being sabotaged and embarks on a mission to find out who is behind it. The story was loosely inspired by Dawn DaLuise, who owned her own West Hollywood salon called Skin Refinery. When another esthetician moved into the same building, Dawn became enraged and tried to hire a hit man to kill her competitor. Some of her celebrity clients included Alicia Silverstone, Christian Slater, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr., Jennifer Aniston, and Christina Ricci.
