A woman (Saoirse Ronan) who spent a decade as an alcoholic in London returns home to Scotland's Orkney Islands to turn her life around. The film is based on the 2016 memoir by Scottish author Amy Liptrot, who is renamed Rona in the film. Actor Stephen Dillane portrays her father.
