Battalion, a predominately black female
Army unit tasked with handling the
years-long backlog of mail during WWII.
Kerry Washington portrays the Army captain
in charge of the female soldiers. The Six
Triple Eight was the only mostly black
U.S. Women's Army Corps unit that was sent
overseas during WWII.
